This has all the makings of your next favourite TV show. Amy Adams is stepping into the small screen this summer for this upcoming HBO drama 'Sharp Objects'.

It couldn't sound more promising if it tried. It's from the director of 'Big Little Lies' (Jean-Marc Vallée), the producers of 'Get Out' ( Blumhouse Productions) and it's based on the book by the author of 'Gone Girl' (Gillian Flynn).

The eight part mini-series follows the story of reporter Camille Preaker (Adams) who returns to her small hometown to cover the murders of two preteen girls. Trying to put together a psychological puzzle from her past, she finds herself identifying with the young victims a bit too closely.
