You should have done, as Sky have recently gone and completely revamped the TV guide homepage. Although don't worry, it doesn't look too newfangled and complicated at all, it is totally accessible and actually makes it a lot easier to use. So your mam and dad won't be ringing you 'cos they've broke the telly'.

The new Homepage is the most significant revamp to the Sky programming guide since the the launch of digital TV back in 1998, and has plenty of great additions such as the 'New Series' icon. This feature means you can watch back and track any new series that have premiered over the last couple weeks. Pretty nifty little addition, no?

Also, for the first time ever, On Demand will now sit alongside channel listings as equal options on the new Homepage, so that you can immediately find any show you want to watch, whether it be live or on demand.

The point of it all is to acknowledge how much we, as the viewer, are taking control of what we are viewing, and that while live terrestrial TV is still popular, people are embracing his new way of watching television all the time.

Mark Anderson, Director of Sales & Marketing, Sky Ireland has said: “With so much fantastic TV on offer, we know it can sometimes be difficult to decide what to watch. Our new Homepage means it’s now much easier to quickly find what you want, when you want to watch it - whether that’s the big Premier League clash or catching up on Moone Boy or Game of Thrones."

The software update with the new Homepage is rolling out to Sky customers as of this week, and will be available to all 8 million customers across the UK and Ireland with compatible Sky+HD boxes by the end of May this year.

Things sure have changed since the days of the two channels, wha'?
