*Spoilers for Season 7 finale episode ahead*

Well it finally happened – Jaime left his evil sister Cersei and now who knows what lies ahead for him?

The departure was provoked by the fact that Cersei intended to betray Tyrion Lannister, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, not sending soldiers to help them fight the Night King and his army, but rather to take care of their own. That and she threatened to kill Jaime, which was just not cool.

In an interview with Indiewire after the dramatic finale, actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime, revealed that his character “had enough at this point” - “She has so little interest or regard for the rest of humanity. It’s all about just her power… He is truly disgusted by the way she acts.”

As for the character’s next move, Coster-Waldau believes “he’s going to try to get up there. We see him covering up his golden hand because once he’s heading North, he’s in enemy territory, and it’s difficult to hide who he is when he has that golden hand. So I think he’s going to try to get up to some commander whether it’s Jon Snow or Daenerys Targaryen. We’ll see.”

But, what about the possibility of a romance between Jaime Lannister and Brienne of Tarth? Now that he has left his sister, is there any chance these two can finally give into the obvious chemistry between one another?

Coster-Waldau thinks not – he’s for the camp of the other potential love interest that has been set up for Brienne. “I saw Episode 6 with Tormund Giantsbane, when I saw him talk about Brienne. I for sure felt like they’re meant for each other,” he said. “Tormund Giantsbane and Brienne of Tarth; that’s going to be. He was so excited, like, ‘Imagine the babies we’re going to have.’ It was so beautiful. I’m 100 percent on that train for sure. What is it called, ‘Torienne’? I’m supporting them.

“You don’t want Brienne to waste any romantic time with Jaime Lannister because he’s a mess, he’s so fucked up, he’s been with his own sister for so long. It’s disgusting. He’s never going to be a normal human being. Go with this guy so straightforward, Tormund Giantsbane. He’s strong, he’s powerful, he’s funny and he’s going to take care of her. It’s perfect. I can see that happening.”
