After the so-so reviews of Arrested Development's return in 2013, it looked like the future of the cult comedy might have been in jeopardy.

In a recent interview, exec producer Brian Glazer said that although new episodes are coming, they still haven't figured out how many episodes will be in the next season.

The initial order was for 17 episodes, however it's understood that it'll now be somewhat less.

Writers are currently being drafted by showrunner Mitch Hurwitz who has scheduled the production to begin in January 2016.

The episodes are expected to be online with Netflix approximately four months afterwards, although that may change depending on how the writing pans out.

So, thoughts? It's good that they're trying it again, but they've got to try to change it up somehow because the last season was bad. Very bad.

It wasn't just a case of heightened expectations, it was more that it was so convoluted and just not funny.

Netflix have said they're interested in more episodes, but have yet to officially confirm the show's return.

So what do you think? Are you excited to see more Arrested Development episodes? Or did the last season ruin it for you?
