Last week, Sky series Urban Myths came under a great deal of criticism after a first look reveal showed Joseph Fiennes playing iconic pop star Michael Jackson.

Michael’s daughter Paris said she was ‘offended’ and ‘angered’ by the portrayal.

Sky has since announced that they will not be airing the episode of Urban Myths in question, in which Michael Jackson, Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando go on a road trip from New York to LA after the 9/11 terror attacks.

A new Michael Jackson biopic was announced by Lifetime on the same day that the controversial episode was pulled, according to The Independent.

Currently titled Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland, the film will look at Jackson's final years through the eyes of his bodyguards, Bill Whitfield and Javon Beard. It is based on the book “Remember the Time: Protecting Michael Jackson in His Final Days” and will begin filming next month in Los Angeles.

Jackson will be portrayed by Navi, who is considered to be the most prominent Michael Jackson impersonator in the world, while Chad L. Coleman of The Walking Dead fame will play Whitfield, The Wrap reports.
