If you've been watching The Handmaid's Tale, you'll know that the series is a consistently bleak and frighteningly prescient story of America under the grip of a religious dictatorship - so how hip-hop artist Drake could possibly fit into it is anyone's guess.

In a recent interview with the Boston Review, author Margaret Atwood brought up the idea that Drake could go for a cameo; seeing as how both he and Atwood are Canadians, Toronto specifically, and the show itself films in Toronto.

Sadly, Atwood hasn't met Drake and doesn't know whether or not he's a fan, but she's already got some ideas on what he could do in the show. "I’ll drop that notion into the ear of Bruce Miller, the showrunner, and see what he can do with that, because of course the show is filmed in Toronto. Maybe Drake could help smuggle someone," said Atwood.

Considering how Canada is the place where everyone escapes to The Handmaid's Tale, it's entirely possible to see Drake standing at the border ready to bring people in and the like. Considering Ed Sheeran's set to have a role in the upcoming season of Game Of Thrones and there was a rumour that Taylor Swift was going to a cameo in X-Men: Apocalypse, Drake being a character in The Handmaid's Tale shouldn't surprise anyone.
