Although there's no word yet if they're bringing back the UK version of TRL, it's been confirmed that the American arm of MTV is reviving the show in the coming months.
Yes, Total Request Live will return to MTV from October 8th, but sadly will not feature Carson Daly, Damien Fahey or Hilarie Burton. Instead, a new crop of presenters have been assigned to the show. Not only that, the show will also feature "bigger audiences, expansive sets and simultaneous productions including new digital extensions of TRL," including cross promotions on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube.
In an recent interview with New York Times, the president of MTV, Chris McCarthy, said that there's also planning on bringing back the pedestrian plaza concerts from the show's previous iteration.
