While we know Stranger Things is officially getting a second season, there's been no word on when precisely in 2017 it'll reach Netflix.

The most likely guess is it'll probably be some time around Summer 2017, in line with last season's premiere. However, there's a slight glimmer of a chance that it might even be happening sooner. Photos snapped by a fan near Emory University in Atlanta, which doubled for the Hawkins National Laboratory, show a number of vans, trucks and trailers going up.

The images, posted on Reddit, confirm that filming is most likely underway for the second season of Stranger Things. This, however, should be taken with a grain of salt as David Harbour recently said in an interview that the first episode was still being written by the Duffer Brothers.

Either way, it's good to know that things are finally moving forward with it all and that it won't be too much of a wait. Stranger Things has been one of the most widely celebrated shows in Netflix's already storied history and the hope is that it'll at least meet the first season's quality level.

Stranger Things is expected on Netflix in 2017.
