We never thought we would see the day, Kim Hyde is back on the bay! And weren't we only just talking about him the other day in our Casey Braxton piece. Hemsworth played Home and Away heart throb Kim Hyde, making his first on screen appearance in 2004 and departing in 2007.
Like other stars of the hit Aussie soap such as Isla Fisher, he actually managed to go on and make quite the career for himself in Hollywood, starring as Marvel superhero Thor, as well as George Kirk in Star Trek, and James Hunt in 'Rush', and of course was recently named People magazine's 'Sexiest Man Alive'.
He hasn't forgotten his roots though and headed on back to Summer Bay this week to go back to where it all began. Current Home and Away star Jess Grace Smith, who plays Denny, put this picture up on her Instagram this morning, along with the caption; "Just another tough day at work..."
The star hinted earlier in the month that he might make a return to the soap and has previously said that he and his family were missing their home country; "We're spending more and more time back in Australia and I definitely want the kids to grow up here and spend time here. We were in California a lot and I missed it here [in Australia] and my wife missed it too so that was our goal to get back here."
So could he ACTUALLY be returning to the soap? Hardly, but look, a girl can dream.
