These days you probably know Ricky Wilson from Kaiser Chiefs best as a mentor on The Voice UK, but he is now extending his telly CV and has just landed a new show on Sky.

Set to be called 'Bring the Noise' the show will be a blend of music trivia questions with set pieces, parodies, mash-ups and a final round performance battle, and is essentially a successor to the long running Never Mind the Buzzcocks, which finished up in January this year.

Wilson will present, but he also has Nicole Scherzinger and Tinie Tempah on board as team captains... yeah they are certainly no Bill Bailey but sure we will give them the benefit of the doubt.

Stand-up comedian Katherine Ryan is also on board as a regular panellist.

Wilson said of his new gig; "Nicole, Tinie and Katherine are all completely brilliant and ridiculous in equal measure.

"I'm no stranger to music-based TV shows with a competitive element, but this is taking music TV to another level," he continued, encouraging viewers to "swing by the off licence, phone for a takeaway, and settle in".

While Scherzinger said she's looking forward to "letting loose, sharing some hidden talents and just having some fun".

The show is also set to have a house band which will provide live entertainment while audience members will also be able to get involved by taking part in some of the games.

Not quite sure how we feel about this as of yet, but it is the same production team that are behind A League of Their Own and Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, so they are definitely in good hands.

Bring the Noise comes to Sky1 in the autumn.
