Julia Louis Dreyfus has returned to her hit HBO show, 'Veep', following a year-long treatment for breast cancer.

The actor took to Twitter to post a selfie from the table read of the show's seventh season, which included familiar faces such as Tony Hale, Gary Cole and Anna Chlumsky. Dreyfus revealed in September of last year that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer in a heartfelt open letter, which was eventually followed by confirmation from HBO that the final season of 'Veep' was to be delayed to allow Dreyfus time for treatment and recovery.

After she completed her treatment and recovery, Dreyfus turned up here - as in, Ireland - of all places for a brief holiday with her family and appeared to be enjoying all the treats of the city, and even talked relentlessly about her love of Dairy Milk on her Instagram. Julia, we get it. It's incredible. It's our nation's finest export. We love it too.

Dreyfus, who has won a record eleven Emmys, played US Vice President, then President Selina Meyer for six seasons. The last season ended with Meyer, out of office, gearing up for another run at the White House. Undoubtedly, everything that's happening in the current political climate in the US is bound to feature.

No return date has been set for the final season of 'Veep'.
