If you're the type of 'Friends' fan that's still mourning the loss of the show and are clamouring for a 2017 reboot/reunion, you may want to cool your jets because if it was to be anything like Jennifer Aniston's imagining, it would be a real POS.

Aniston described what she thought a modern version of the sit-com would look like in a podcast interview with Arianna Huffington for Thrive Global Podcast and thanks to the change in how we all spend our downtime, it ain't pretty.

"Now you have a computer, a television, and a phone." she said. "There's no room. We were jokingly saying that if Friends was created today, you would have a coffee shop full of people that were just staring into iPhones. There would be no actual episodes or conversations."

Depressing thought, right?

We're not sure that's totally what it would look like but we can imagine it being pretty bleak if the gang were just staring at their laps for half the show, only looking up to show someone a photo or tweet they found funny.

But take all that with a pinch of salt as Aniston is a bit biased, admitting that pretty resistant to social media herself.

"My husband's on Instagram, and people that I know are on Instagram. I have anxiety watching them navigate through Instagram. It's kind of a little bit out of sight out of mind... But then you find yourself the only one that doesn't have it and there's no one to talk to, because everyone's head is stuck in their phone."
