Don't worry It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia fans, we definitely have at least two more seasons of the gang's shenanigans left to watch yet, but it seems the guys are already looking to the future and have just had a brand new comedy pilot green-lit by Fox.
Described as a show about an unconventional family in working-class America, the yet unnamed project will be executive produced by the It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia masterminds Charlie Day, Rob McElhenney and Glenn Howerton, while it will be written by McElhenney and former It’s Always Sunny executive producer Rob Rosell.
Rosell also works as a writer on Fox’s The Mick, which features It’s Always Sunny star and McElhenney’s wife Kaitlin Olson.
This is in fact the second comedy project set up by the 'Sunny/Mick' team at Fox this season. Earlier in the month Fox ordered a pilot for a retirement community comedy called Cool Kids that's written by Charlie Day and Paul Fruchbom - Day will also executive produce along with Frenkel, Howerton, and McElhenney.
If either are even half as good as It's Always Sunny, we're in for a treat. Here's hoping both are green-lit for a full series come pilot season.
