Fans and non-fans of EastEnders alike will all know this face, sure he was even a bit of a 'pin-up' back in the nineties, God forgive us all.

The one and only Robbie Jackson will be rocking back up to Albert Square shortly as it's emerged that actor Dean Gaffney will return as part of Lindsay Coulson's (Carol Jackson's) exit storyline this August.

Gaffney played the hapless Robbie Jackson on the soap from 1993 before being axed in 2003, and has since returned briefly in 2004 and 2010.

There he is now, with his bestest bud Wellard.

Dean said of his return; "I am honoured that Dominic and all at EastEnders have decided to open the door and find out where Robbie’s been and what he’s been up to."

He also told Metro.co.uk; "It’s nice to come home and be thought about.

"I had a phone call from Dom who said, “Look we know we sometimes overlook Robbie – you’re not at funeral, weddings, your mum’s cancer storyline and we can’t deny we need the character back to send off Lindsey."

The character has been in India the last twelve years where he married and had a son, who is set to return with him in August.

It will only be a six-episode stint, however the actor added; "Had he [Dom] of said 60 episodes, I’d have said yes."

Aw poor aul Dean Gaffney, someone give the fella a job already.
