Fans of Mary Berry were heartbroken to find out she was leaving GBBO after the show moved to Channel 4, but they should be happy to hear she won’t be leaving the world of televised baking completely.
Mary is set to return as a judge on The Great American Baking Show, a spin-off from Bake Off which is also created by Love Productions.
The show will return to ABC in the US, featuring eight new themed episodes and 24 challenges. Mary will judge while My Big Fat Greek Wedding's Nia Vardalos and husband Ian Gomez return as hosts.
The series starts tomorrow and while it won’t be airing anywhere in the UK (which affects Irish viewers too), we will see her in Bake Off's Christmas special, as well as front-of-house for two new shows from BBC: Mary Berry's Secrets From Britain's Great Houses and cooking show Mary Berry Everyday.
Not bad, Mary.
