2016. A time when the idea of Donald Trump as leader of the free world was a jumping-off point for poor comedy.

It's 2017 now, and Donald Trump is leader of the free world and still a jumping-off-point for poor comedy. Speaking of poor comedy and things that should have gone away by now, Honey G is back with a new single and, not only that, she's started her own record label.

Speaking to The Sun some time ago, Honey G - known as Anna Gilford - said she "decided to launch my own label in order to give me more creative control and focus purely on producing real rap and hip-hop music."

Because Honey G knows what real rap and hip-hop is. That's the world she lives in. She knows what that is. Incidentally, she was also dropped by Simon Cowell's label, Syco, in April of this year.

In an Instagram post last night, Honey G announced pre-orders for her new single, Hit With You With The Honey G, and confirmed that she's working with producer Liam Nolan; who previously worked as engineer on Adele's Hello, Clean Bandit's Rather Be, and Zayn Malik's Mind of Mine.

Hit You With The Honey G is on general release from June 30th. Let's hope and pray that an asteroid lands on Earth and wipes us all out before then.
