December is definitely a month where cosying up to your favourite TV show or movie is pretty much a prerequisite. As usual, Netflix can provide in this hour of need and have given us a lovely long list below of everything that's arriving to the streaming service this month.

Hollywood's most sought after leading actors

Dallas Buyers Club (Now Streaming)

The triple Oscar winning film is set in 1985 Dallas, where Ron Woodroof indulges in heavy smoking, drinking, drug use and casual sex. After being diagnosed with HIV, Ron battles to accept his disease and he begins to search for alternative treatments to prolong his life and help other sufferers. Both Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto both won an Oscar for their roles in this, and it can pretty much be chalked down as the movie that launched the McConaissance.

Flight (24/12)

The Academy Award nominated thriller starring Denzel Washington depicts the story of an airline pilot who saves almost all his passengers on a malfunctioning airliner which eventually crashes, but an investigation into the accident reveals something more troubling.

As I Lay Dying (23/12)

In a sobering story based on William Faulkner's novel, a poor Southern clan fulfils the family matriarch's last wish to be buried in a distant town.

Last Love (26/12)

A widowed professor living alone in Paris sees no meaningful future for himself until he meets a free-spirited young dance instructor. N'aww.
