Here's the 2016 IFTA nominations for TV

The Irish Film and Television Awards nominations have just been announced this morning, and while you can check out the nominees in Film here, below is all the awards that are TV related.

The RTE series Rebellion features fairly prominently on the list, earning a nomination for Best Drama, actor in a lead role (Barry Ward), two actress in a lead role nods (Ruth Bradley and Sarah Greene), actress in a supporting role (Michelle Fairly), and a Best Script Drama nomination for Colin Teevan.

Other shows competing in the drama category are An Klondike, Game of Thrones, Penny Dreadful and Vikings, while also featuring in the nominations is Colin Farrell for True Detective, Aidan Turner for Poldark, Liam Cunningham for Game of Thrones and Caitriona Balfe for Outlander, while Sarah Greene earned herself a second nomination for Penny Dreadful.

The 2016 IFTA Film & Drama Awards Ceremony takes place on Saturday 9th April at the Round Room of the Mansion House in Dublin, while like last year, the Television Awards take place in a separate ceremony in October 2016.
