Here's our hot picks that are streaming on NOW TV this summer...

Game of Thrones

If you have somehow never got into Game of Thrones yet, first off, hats off to you, because that is some serious peer pressure you have resisted and no doubt many a conversation you have missed out on. But come on now, it's time to pull the finger out and get on it already. This is one of, if not the, greatest television shows ever made and will be talked about long after the credits roll in its final season next year. You may not think it's your type of show - dragons and kingdoms and what not - what are we all like? But just trust us, you will be hooked, and at ten episodes a season, it's really not that much to commit to.

Veep

Looking for a new comedy to get stuck into? Look no further! After recent events in the White House, it's becoming more like life imitating art with political satirical comedy Veep. If you haven't ever given yourself the time to watch Veep yet, get on it already as it is currently one of the funniest shows on television. It stars the always entertaining Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Vice President Selina Meyers who has her eyes on the prize to become the first female president and is reliant on a team of misfits to get her there, who include Arrested Development's Tony Hale and My Girl's Anna Chlumsky. It's sharp, it's absurd, and it only gets better with each season.

Twin Peaks

This is the original TV drama, which has paved the way for all your favourite TV shows today! It's 27 years since the world was first captivated by what was going down in the small town of Twin Peaks, but the series, which went on to gain a huge cult following, has recently returned to our screens with most of the original cast. If you want to know what all the fuss is about, you can go back and watch it all from the beginning on NOW TV. We won't spoil too much for you only to tell you that this is a crime drama with a huge dollop of the surreal at times. The heart of it is a murder mystery with FBI agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) brought in when the body of local girl Laura Palmer is found. A grim subject matter but Twin Peaks has an unexpected sense of humour about itself at times, thanks mostly to the fantastic performance of MacLachlan in what was his breakout role, and of course the writing and directing of Mr David Lynch.

Silicon Valley

An Entourage for geeks could be the best way to describe this Mike Judge comedy. It follows a group of tech heads working and living in Silicon Valley all hoping to come up with the next million dollar idea until one of them actually does. Founder of the company, Richard (Thomas Middleditch), is then faced with the prospect of selling it for an eight-figure sum or running with the idea himself along with the support of an offbeat venture capitalist. It's an on-point hilarious take on the tech-driven world we live in from the point of view of the minds that are at the ground zero of where it goes down.

The Trip to Spain

Love your travel shows? Love your food shows? Well you’ll love this box set! Funnymen Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon play fictionalised versions of themselves in this hugely successful travel series with a difference. It kicked off in 2010 with The Trip, which saw the pair take on a restaurant tour of northern England. The series was then edited into a feature film and premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival to much critical acclaim. Their second series in 2014, A Trip to Italy, found similar success and now the lads are back once more, only this time in Spain, for more reluctant adventures together.
