There was some welcome news on the Irish television front earlier this week when it was announced that last year's box office smash hit, The Young Offenders was getting a television series.

The series is set to be co-produced by BBC 3 and RTÉ and will see the main cast return as well as writer, director and producer Peter Foott.

Now that the news of the production is out in the open, the production company behind the series, Vico Films, have announced that they are currently casting and are looking for people that are either from Cork or can do a convincing Cork accent.

If you or anyone you know might be interested then head over to the Vico Films website where you'll be asked to send in your details and a self tape.
