As everyone who watched it will know, last year's X Factor simply was not the same without its long term host Dermot O'Leary. While Olly Murs and Caroline Flack tried to step up to the plate, they really just couldn't deliver the same type of show as good old Dermo.
Some very much welcome X Factor news today though as it has been announced that Dermot O'Leary will return to the show just one year after he left.
Dermot said: ‘I’m very flattered to be asked back to The X Factor, and am currently dusting off my dancing shoes. There is nothing more exciting than hosting live TV on a Saturday night.
"The show is naturally very close to my heart, after having hosted it for 8 years. I’m really looking forward to it, and excited to be back."
While Simon Cowell, who must be delighted with the news considering last year's dwindling ratings added; "Dermot’s back! Hooray! And so is his dancing! Welcome home Dermot."
The judging panel has yet to be announced but here's hoping they return another X Factor veteran to his rightful throne this year too. We're rooting for you Louis.
