There's no denying it, season six provided the best Game of Thrones finale we've ever had. So much happened, which we have taken a closer look at here. While we hate to get bogged down with small details or start nitpicking, we couldn't help but have one or two questions about the movement of characters in the episode. In particular Varys, who seemed to travel from Dorne to the Bay of Dragons (formerly Slaver’s Bay) in the blink of an eye.

However, Game of Thrones writer Bryan Cogman has given an explanation, and it's a pretty obvious one; time passed by, get over it.

Fair enough. We have certainly enjoyed the characters road trips throughout the seasons, but it would get a bit dull constantly watching them trying to get from one place to the next.

Also as this person on Reddit has pointed out, you can see the sigils of the Martells and Tyrells on the sails of the ships in Daenerys fleet as she leaves, so Varys must have got a lift with those guys.

Although, seems kind of silly to go all the way back to the Bay of Dragons when he was already in Dorne. Have a look at the map below...

But look, whatever, it was a great episode. Varys likes to travel, we'll build a bridge now.
