Four Weddings and a Funeral – the film which gave Hugh Grant a career, established writer Richard Curtis as king of rom-com, and gave W.H. Auden’s poem ‘Funeral Blues’ a new lease on life – is coming to the small screen.

The comedy classic is being developed as an hourlong anthology series by Hulu.

Better yet, it’s going to be written and executive produced by none other than The Office star and creator/exec producer/star of The Mindy project Mindy Kaling, alongside her Mindy Project exec producer Matt Warburton.

Curtis is also on board as an exec producer and like the movie, the series will follow “a group of friends as their lives intersect through these five events, with each season following a different story arc.” According to Deadline, “there is an idea to have different characters in a different location each season, with the lead possibly remaining the same.”

The Four Weddings and a Funeral series comes 23 years after the original film, which earned a number of awards and nominations including two Oscar nods and a Golden Globe for Grant.
