Everything is going to be okay, Bret and Jermaine are back on our screens this year to sing us through the dark times. Well, okay, we're not getting a full series of Flight of the Conchords but the guitar-playing Kiwi duo will return for a one-hour special.
Jermaine Clement told Entertainment Tonight recently that the cast is "going to film a little something this year…We’re going to shoot an hour thing."
Yeah... it's as vague as that but look, we'll take it.
It's not clear yet whether the show will air on its original network HBO, however in a statement to The AV Club, the network said, "The deals are not fully in place. We’ll hopefully have news soon and will be back in touch."
Flight of the Conchords first aired on HBO in June 2007 for just two seasons but the New Zealand-based comedy duo had been around a long time prior to that with their music and comedy also the basis of a BBC radio series. They were named Best Alternative Comedy Act at the 2005 US Comedy Arts Festival and Best Newcomer at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, and received a nomination for the Perrier Comedy Award at the 2003 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
The pair started touring again in 2016 and will be in Dublin's 3Arena in April with two shows that sold out in a matter of minutes.
