Season three of Black Mirror is on the way to Netflix in October, and the streaming service have just released the first look photos, featuring Bryce Dallas Howard, Mackenzie Davis and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

The dystopian drama directed, created and written by Charlie Brooker takes a rather eerie look at what technology could bring to our future, with each episode a stand-alone story looking at themes of contemporary techno-paranoia. The first season aired in 2011, the second was in 2013, however other than a Christmas Special, there has been nothing since.

Below are further details on the cast and a description of each episode in the upcoming six-part series;

1 - “San Junipero”, starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Mackenzie Davis, directed by Owen Harris (Kill Your Friends)

2 - “Shut Up and Dance,” starring Jerome Flynn (Bronn!) and Alex Lawther, directed by James Watkins

3 - “Nosedive,” starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Alice Eve, and James Norton, directed by Joe Wright (Hanna, Atonement)

4 - “Men Against Fire,” starring Michael Kelly, (Stamper!) Malachi Kirby, and Madeline Brewer, directed by Jakob Verbruggen

5 - “Hated in the Nation,” starring Kelly MacDonald, directed by James Hawes

6 - “Playtest,” starring Wyatt Russell and Hannah John-Kamen, directed by Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane)

There is truly some amazing talent on board, with an impressive cast that includes Bryce Dallas Howard, Jerome Flynn, and Michael Kelly, with some fantastic directors to boot.

Brooker also collaborated with Mike Schur (Creator of The Office and Parks and Recreation) and actress Rashida Jones who co-wrote the episode 'Nosedive' with Brooker describing it as "a social satire about identity in the social media age".

10 Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg also wrote a video game-themed episode for season three.

Black Mirror season three arrives on Netflix on October 21st.
