It seems the bright lights of Carrigstown have caught the eye of actor Jack Reynor who said this week he would 'love' a part in the Irish soap.

Reynor, who is currently up for an IFTA for his role in John Carney's most recent flick Sing Street, told The Sun;

"I think that would be brilliant. I’d love it. Just a small, little role. Breeze in, cause a bit of mayhem you know, pull a few pints behind the bar, a bit of drama and be gone again. A couple of friends of mine have worked on Fair City and it’s a fantastic show with so much Irish talent from the Dublin stage. Some legendary names there. It would be a great opportunity. I mean, it’s probably not going to happen any time soon, but who knows."

Now Fair City executive producer Brigie DeCourcy has officially welcomed the actor to the show, telling the Herald;

"We're delighted to hear that Jack is a fan of Fair City, and, of course, we would be thrilled to have such an international star join our talented cast of actors.

"McCoy's door will be open the next time Jack is back in Dublin and fancies a few pints and some Carrigstown drama."

So now, somebody put the plans in motion on this STAT. Sure maybe he could he even star in Cass's 1916 play?
