Seeing as there's only going to be six episodes in the season, this can be only a good thing.

'Game of Thrones' fans celebrated at their first convention, 'Con of Thrones' over the weekend and while there were no real spoilers about the upcoming seventh season, the show's sound designer Paula Fairfield did let slip that the running time of each episode on the eighth and final season may be feature-length.

Confirming what we already knew about the season seven finale, Fairfield said that the episode will be the longest one of the series so far, coming in at 82 minutes in length, and then went on to say that each of the six episodes in season eight could be the same.

Seeing as season seven hasn't even aired yet and season eight is still being written, you can take all this with a pinch of salt but with only six episodes left, it would make sense for the show to expand each episode in length so they can wrap everything up properly.

And who knows, maybe we'll get that 'Game of Thrones' movie after all.
