We don't know who's going to end up sitting on the Iron Throne once the series wraps, or if there'll even be a throne at all, but what we do know is that once the eighth and final season airs, that's the last we'll see of Daenerys Targaryen in the 'Game of Thrones' universe, or Clarke at the very least.

In a new interview, Clarke revealed that she sees the show as her "beginning, middle and end" and will be done once she wraps her final scene.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Clarke said:

"It makes me emotional to think about. It’s my beginning, middle and end — the single thing that has changed me most as an adult. I have no doubt there’ll be prequels and sequels and who knows what else. But I am doing one more season. And then that’ll be it."

Clarke also gave the tiniest of spoilers about the upcoming seventh season of the show for die-hard fans, revealing that she's spent more time than before filming the show in Belfast.

"Spoiler alert – I normally don't spend very much time in Belfast, but this last season I spent a little more time there," she said. "It's a really interesting season in terms of some loose ends that have been tied, some really satisfying plot points, some things where you're like, 'Oh, my God. I forgot about that!' Rumors are going to be confirmed or denied."

But don't be too upset about not getting more Queen of Dragons on your screen as Clarke is set to appear in the 'Star Wars' Han Solo anthology film and seeing as she's one of the most recognisable faces on the planet, we're sure she'll have plenty of options.
