EastEnders' Kim Fox was notably absent from The Inside Soap Awards red carpet (as was most of the cast of Corrie). Actress Tameka Empson, who won the awards for Funniest Female, decided to snub Monday's award ceremony as it was being at London's DSTRKT nightclub.

According to The Mirror: "The venue in Leicester Square has come under fire after a clubber posted offensive text messages from a man said to be a promoter for the club. The texts allegedly read: 'black crowd is the concern' and intimated two darker skinned members of her group would not get in." A source added: "Lots felt uncomfortable but felt a duty to say thank you to their fans, who voted for the winners. It was a really tough decision. Tameka resolutely refused to go. Everyone fully accepts her decision."

Taking to twitter, the 38-year-old said earlier in the week...

She then added...

I'm still waiting to get the trophy in my hands. I'll get it at work tomorrow, they'll be no problems at the studio gate; they'll let it in!
