While he's on cable station TBS now, Conan O'Brien is still consistently one of the funniest men on American television. The move to The Tonight Show may not have panned out as well as he would've liked, but his humour was never broad enough to fill Jay Leno's inoffensive shoes.

There had been rumours that Conan's show was going to go from 5 nights a week, to a weekly slot. The reasoning being that Conan has a very young, sought after audience, and they don't watch TV as much. So with a new 4-year deal he's signed with TBS, the Irish American comedian could be hosting a podcast, going on live tours and generally making more digital content - including gaming stuff.

"Conan continues to prove his vibrancy night after night and his incredible command of the digital and social space has only built on his young, connected audience," said Kevin Reilly, president of TBS. "This next chapter will provide support for Conan and Jeff (Ross, Conan Producer) to expand the boundaries from a 'talk show' to a range of personality-based, cross-platform experiences."

This is the future, folks and Conan gets it.

"The TV landscape has changed dramatically since I inherited the traditional talk show format in 1993. In the past few years I've stumbled across many new and exciting ways of connecting with my audience, and I’m eager to evolve my show into something leaner, more agile and more unpredictable. I also want a pony."

We've said it before and we'll say it again. We. <3 Coco.
