Although King Arthur: Legend of the Sword is leaning heavily on the Game of Thrones / medieval fantasy kick that everyone seems to be on, it's looking like the film won't have the same impact.

Early reviews so far have the film pretty much panned, but its star Charlie Hunnam could well be in line for a role in the series nonetheless. In an interview with The Sun, it was revealed that Hunnam was offered a cameo in the series, but had to decline it. "I would love to do a Game of Thrones cameo, they offered me a cameo on that show a little while ago but I was shooting something else so I wasn’t able to do it but maybe in the future, who knows."

There's only person who Charlie Hunnam - in our mind, anyway - could have been cameoing as in Game of Thrones and that's Rhaegar Targaryen, the older brother of Daenarys Targaryen and the (spoilers, obviously) father of Jon Snow. After all, he's English, he's blonde and he knows how to swing a sword and wear armour.

Who do you think Charlie Hunnam could have played in Game of Thrones? Let us know what you think in the comments!
