British Soap Awards nominations revealed

It's one of the biggest award ceremonies of the year for British soaps where they finally get acknowledgement for every fire, murder, slap and trifle throwing that happened throughout the year.

The British Soap Awards 2018 will take place in June and today they have revealed the long list of nominations for the big gongs on the night; Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Soap.

The list will be narrowed down soon with the first round stage of voting closing on Tuesday, April 24th at 5pm. Once the shortlist is revealed, voting will reopen at 10am on Tuesday, May 1st and close at 9pm on Friday, May 25th.

Other awards categories such as Best Storyline, Best Newcomer and Best Young Performance will be determined by a panel of judges.

This year there will also be a brand new category for soap fans to vote in - Greatest Moment.
