We're calling it now, Brendan Murray will be a finalist in this year's 'X Factor'. Hell, he could go ahead and win the whole thing.

The Galway singer was catapulted into the Judges House's section of the show a couple of weeks ago after he earned himself Louis Tomlinson's Golden X. There was no doubt really after that that he would go on to perform in the live shows, and following his stirring rendition of the Prince penned Sinead O'Connor hit 'Nothing Compares 2 U', it was all but confirmed.

Liam Payne and Chic's Nile Rodgers were also blown away by Brendan's performance, which led to this emotional moment below when Brendan found out he was going through and then got on the phone to tell his Irish mammy at home:

If you recognise Brendan, he was previously a member of boyband Hometown while he also represented Ireland in the 2017 Eurovision.
