Brendan Fraser's most recent work on the big screen has largely been restricted to so so independent films that he also produces but he has been doing some interesting work in TV.

Most notably during his recurring role in season 3 of The Affair. His next TV gig is even more intriguing has he's reportedly joined the cast of Danny Boyle's new anthology series Trust.

The ten episode first season of the show will focus on the 1970s kidnapping of John Paul Getty III. The heir to the Getty family fortune was snatched from the streets in Rome and his mafia captors demanded a hefty ransom. Initially his grandfather, J. Paul Getty, refused to pay which ignited plenty of drama at the time.

Harris Dickinson is set to play the young Getty while Hillary Swank will play his mother his mother and Donald Sutherland will be the family patriarch. Fraser is said to be playing James Fletcher Chace who worked as a private investigator for J. Paul Getty. Described as an eccentric Texan fixer, it'll be exciting to see what Fraser does with the part.

Production is set to begin next month.
