As usual with reports that one of our favourite shows could be brought back, we approach it with hesitation, can't we just leave a story that was so well told first time round untouched? Do we really need to resuscitate the life out of it for nostalgia?? (After all, nostalgia is truly one of the great human weaknesses.)

Saying all that though, good news Office fans! It might be making a comeback. NBC is currently looking to reboot the hit workplace comedy for the 2018-2019 season. According to TV Line, the revival would once again be set at the Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton, PA., branch, and feature a mix of new and old cast members.

As you could probably have guessed though, Steve Carell won't be involved with the series this time around so they are on the lookout for another new boss for us to cringe over.

NBC recently successfully relaunched Will and Grace so it seems they are looking to do the same with other past hit shows. Network president Bob Greenblatt previously told Deadline in August that his revival wish list included The Office (as well as 30 Rock); "We often talk about The Office. I’ve talked to Greg [Daniels] four times over the past few years. It’s always, ‘Maybe someday, but not now’. There is certainly an open invitation, but we don’t have anything happening right now. If he wants to do it, I would do it."

It seems now could be that time, however NBC has yet to confirm any of this, but we will keep you posted.
