He may no longer be the POTUS, but it looks like Barack Obama has not finished having his say on the state of the nation.

Reports suggest that Obama and his wife Michelle are in 'advanced negotiations' to produce a series for Netflix's 118 million subscribers - but although many have speculated that he may use the deal as a platform to respond to Trump and his critics, sources say this is not the case.

Instead, the series - the format of which which has not yet been decided - are likely to 'highlight inspirational stories' and perhaps focus on the various ventures that both Obamas undertook during their eight years in the White House, from health care to climate change to nutrition.

Eric Schultz, a senior adviser to the former president, said: “President and Mrs. Obama have always believed in the power of storytelling to inspire. Throughout their lives, they have lifted up stories of people whose efforts to make a difference are quietly changing the world for the better.

"As they consider their future personal plans, they continue to explore new ways to help others tell and share their stories.”

Both Barack and Michelle are also currently writing their memoirs, which they were reportedly paid more than $60 million for - and Barack has been travelling the globe to give speeches since his presidency ended in January 2017.

Now, it looks like they may well be able to add 'TV producers' to their illustrious CVs.
