The BBC have apologised to viewers after Holly Willoughby's low cut dress on The Voice UK might have revealed a little bit too much flesh for some viewers.

The BBC received 139 complaints about the presenters dress. Willoughbooby, as she is often referred to, wore a low cut black lace dress to the final. The dress seems to have offended viewers as they felt it was inappropriate for a family show.

A spokesperson for the BBC said, 'We're sorry if some viewers found Holly's dress to be unsuitable. Holly enjoys fashion and we felt the dress she wore for the live final of The Voice UK was glamorous and wholly appropriate for the occasion. We don't believe it would have gone against audience expectation for a TV spectacle such as this'.

Pal and This Morning co-host Phillip Scholfield jumped to Willoughby's defense saying, '139 complaints over Holly's gorgeous Voice dress. Let's hope those outraged on behalf of their kids don't take them to the beach this summer...God forbid they might see a woman in a bikini before 9pm and be traumatised by the sight of her cleavage!'.

Willoughby has not commented on the complaints.
