Despite the fact that several brothers of the Night's Watch plunged their daggers into his chest, was there ever anyone that truly believed Jon Snow would not be returning after the season 5 finale?
Well yes actually. Apparently, Sophie Turner who plays Sansa Stark in the series fell for it hook, line and sinker.
Kit Harrington found out that he would be returning to the show two weeks after he first read the script for the season five finale but most cast members were kept in the dark and he was forced to lie to a lot of them.
"At first I thought I would find it fun," Harington told Entertainment Weekly. "This will be a fun game. But I had to lie to a lot of close friends and cast members and crew. The longer it went, the more I felt like I was betraying them. So I did end up letting people in, slowly."
Some actors were having none of it from the start though. Our own Liam Cunningham for one was as skeptical as the fans were, telling Harrington to "f— off from the start,”. Turner on the other hand completely bought it. Going as far as to write a goodbye letter to Harrington.
“Sophie Turner, bless her, wrote me a really long letter about how much she loved working with me – and I still got it,” Harington says. “That made me chuckle.”
Jeez Kit. Hadn't Sansa suffered enough already?
