The folks at The Wrap have managed to obtain a breakdown of Season 2 of HBO series True Detective, and have also gotten the down-low on the parts to reportedly be played by Vince Vaughn, Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch and Mad Mad star, Elizabeth Moss.

The new season will follow the "death of a corrupt city manager of a fictional California city who's found brutally murdered amid a potentially groundbreaking transportation deal that would forever change freeway gridlock in the state."

Vaughn is about to close a deal to play a character called Frank Semyon, a "former thug-turned-businessman." He's been described multiple times as not necessarily a villain, but more of an antagonist. Vaughn is 6'6 and has played Norman Bates before, so we don't think he'll have a problem being intimidating.

Our own Colin Farrell is nearing a deal to play Ray Velcoro, Kitsch the role of Paul Woodrugh and Moss Ani Bezzerides. All three characters are law enforcement officers from different police forces and agencies who clash while investigating the murder from the first episode.

The Wrap are also saying that HBO had approached Andrew Dominik, who is known for his offbeat directing work in Chopper, The Assassination of Jess James by the Coward Robert Ford and Killing Me Softly to helm this season. He's, however, apparently too busy, but HBO and creator Nic Pizzolatto never intended on a one director season.

While absolutely nothing is confirmed, it does seem to be coming together beautifully
