Revivals and reboots are ten a penny on TV and in the movies these days, but this is one we reckon we could get on board with.
Created by J. J. Abrams, Alias ran from 2001 to 2006 and followed the exploits of international spy Sydney Bristow, a role which launched the career of Jennifer Garner.
Rumours of a reboot were sparked at a Q&A with the Alias writers' room at the ATX Festival on Saturday (June 9) where the show's co-executive producer Josh Appelbaum said: "It would be amazing to do it; we’ve even talked with J.J. [Abrams]."
However there is nothing on paper yet, with Appelbaum adding: "The right idea would have to come. We wouldn’t want to do it unless it was absolutely perfect."
Given Garner's star power these days, we couldn't see her reprising her role for anything other than a cameo. However, the show ended its five season run with Sydney's daughter displaying similar abilities as her mother did when she was a child, so if you ask us, this reboot writes itself.
