In a move of solidarity to their fellow co-stars, The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar and Simon Helberg are reportedly going to take a pay cut so supporting cast members Mayim Bialik (Amy) and Melissa Rauch (Bernadette) can get a raise.

Bialik and Rauch are not original cast members but have been with the show since season three, and as it now prepares to enter the eleventh, they feel they should be on equal pay. Both actresses are currently earning around $200,000 per episode, as opposed to the original five who are earning a $1 million per episode, making them the highest paid actors on television.

Yes we know, it's difficult to empathise with anybody earning that much money but there is a significant difference there.

The deal has yet to be agreed on but the five leads have each said they are willing to take a $100,000 pay cut  in contract renewal talks earlier in the year, which would mean Bialik and Rauch could earn more than double of what they are currently on.

We always knew we should have got into acting...

It's yet to be seen whether Bialik and Rauch will accept this deal or hold out for parity.
