Thanks to Drake, of all people.

The gritty crime drama followed two drug dealers on an East London housing estate and originally aired in 2011, with a second series in 2013.

Drake became a fan of the show and approached Netflix about producing a new series and amazingly, they said yes.

"Drake came to us several months ago with a passion to help bring this series back to life, and we're thrilled to support the original creative team to do just that," said Cindy Holland, Vice President, Original Content for Netflix.

The ten new episodes will be written by original creator Ronan Bennett with the story picking up when Dushane (Ashley Walters) returns to London and is determined to reclaim his stake in the drug market.

The first two series of Top Boy are available on Netflix but we’ll have to wait until 2019 for the new episodes. Walters took to Instagram to confirm the news:
