Our TV Editor, Fiona Flynn, chooses her picks from what's new to Netflix in March.

Iron Fist - Netflix Original

Netflix signed a deal with Marvel a few years back and Iron Fist will mark the fourth series that has premiered on the streaming service, following the excellent Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. Game of Thrones fans will be very familiar with the titular character, as Finn Jones - who played Loras Tyrell on the HBO series - stars as the superhero. His alter ego is billionaire Danny Rand, who returns to New York City after being missing for years. He soon finds himself tangled up in fighting the criminal underworld of the city, so it's lucky he happens to be a master of kung-fu and has that nifty fiery fist of his.

Launch date: Season 1
Episodes: 13

Five Came Back - Netflix Documentary

This is one that has definitely piqued our interest and is a must-see for movie buffs. The series tells the story about how Hollywood impacted World War II and vice versa. It examines the actions of five filmmakers who left their careers to serve during the war - John Ford, William Wyler, John Huston, Frank Capra, and George Stevens - and then came back to inform the world of what was happening through their craft. Based on a book by Mark Harris, it is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Scott Rudin and Barry Diller, while it even has Meryl Streep on narrating duty. There's also contributions from some of the best directors of our generation including Spielberg, Francis Ford Coppola, Guillermo del Toro, Paul Greengrass and Lawrence Kasdan.

Launch Date: March 31
Episodes: 3

The Discovery - Netflix Original Movie

Netflix have produced some excellent award-winning TV since they first started creating their own original content a few years back, however their movie content has yet to reach the same great heights. Don't get us wrong, the likes of The Fundamentals of Caring and Tallulah were grand, but nothing to write home about. We do however like the look of this upcoming movie The Discovery. Set in a world where the afterlife has been scientifically proven to exist, it stars Rooney Mara, Jason Segal and Robert Redford, the latter being the one who made the discovery. Segal plays his son while Mara is the woman he falls in love with. The problem with the afterlife being real though is that millions of people have begun to take their own lives in order to start over. Yep, this could get very grim but also an interesting sci-fi tale that will undoubtedly reel a lot of viewers in out of curiosity alone.

Launch Date: March 31st
