The future of 'House of Cards' was very much up in the air last year following the allegations against Kevin Spacey, but the show decided to continue on for one more season with Robin Wright (Claire Underwood) taking the lead.

The actress has up until now stayed quiet on her thoughts on the controversy surround Spacey, but she has now broken her silence in a interview with Savannah Guthrie on NBC's 'Today' that will be aired on Monday stateside.

The show released a clip on their social media previewing what Wright says when asked if there was any "red flag" that could have alerted her about Spacey's alleged behaviour.

Wright distances herself from her co-star by saying: "Kevin and I knew each other between action and cut, and in between setups where we would giggle," she replied.

"I didn’t really – I didn’t know the man. I knew the incredible craftsman that he is."

'House of Cards' dropped a new teaser on 4th of July last week featuring Claire Underwood in the hot seat.

The final season will premiere on Netflix later on this year.
