The X Factor Results. TV3: 7.40pm
Another two hours. When the announcement itself would take less than two minutes, nay, two seconds even. With part one of the final behind them, this is the last chance for the two remaining acts to impress the public in the race to become this year's X Factor winner. Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger, Tulisa and Louis Walsh offer their rehashed platitudes as usual, but the result is entirely in viewers' hands, and at the end of the show, Dermot O'Leary reveals which of the potential pop stars walks away with the record deal. One Direction, Emeli Sande and Only Boys Aloud will also be appearing on stage. If it's more cheese you're after, Rod Stewart's Christmas follows at 9.40pm.
