The Brain Doctors BBC2: 9.00pm
This brand new series takes a look at the work carried out by the neurosurgeons at Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital over the space of nine months. Cameras follow the Brain Doctors as they carry out high risk operations, removing brain tumours, correcting brain abnormalities and saving the lives of trauma victims.Tonight's theme is emergencies, so we follow the stories of Tracey, a midwife and mum to two sons who lies in a coma after suffering massive head injuries in a car crash, and Martin, who was struck down by a mysterious virus which has rendered him unconscious and unable to breathe for himself.
