Stephen King's Bag of Bones. Channel 5: 9.15pm
Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name and developed for television by Matt Venne, Bag of Bones is a ghost story about an innocent child caught in a terrible crossfire and a new love haunted by past secrets. The mini-series follows a bestselling novelist, Mike Noonan, who, after the sudden death of his wife Jo, decides to return to the retreat he once shared with her in - as this is Stephen King - Maine. Though the writers block which had been plaguing him since his wife’s death is now gone, Mike finds himself haunted by nightmares and the ghostly of Sara Tidwell. Through all of these paranormal events, Mike realises that Jo has something that she is trying to communicate to him from beyond. Pierce Brosnan stars.
