Dispatches: Weight Watchers - How they make their money. Channel 4: 8.00pm

Firstly, apologies for recommending last week's edition of Dispatches. Hopefully you derived just as much laughter as I did thanks to the bang of Brass Eye off it. The reason there aren't any weighing scales in express supermarkets is because the fruit is sold in pre-packaged units. And you're still getting a bag of oranges for £1, bargain! Anyway, this week's offering might actually be of some use. As folk try to shed those Christmas pounds, Dispatches investigates Weight Watchers. Journalist Jane Moore talks to food experts, dieters and scientists to assess just how effective the company's diet plans and food products are, and asks whether they're worth the money.
