Well if this video doesn't pull at the heartstrings then we don't know what will.

Featuring Skerries Lighthouse and some gorgeous footage of Dublin's coastline, the video is anchored by one of the most heartwarming stories you're likely to find in under 90 seconds.

Set to the song 'Better Days' by John Walsh with vocals from Lisa Lambe, the video stars young Jacob, dubbed 'The Lonliest Boy in The World' as he lives alone on an island with his Dad, the local lighthouse keeper.

The piece was directed by Ciarán Dooley for Bajoman Films. Ciarán said he wanted to make something about isolation and trying to make a connection with the outside world. The video highlights the internet's power of communication and ability to bring people together.

The video was a spec ad for Samsung and not actually commissioned by the technology giants, meaning it was a real labour of love from all of the creatives involved.

More commercials like this please!

If you want to see more of Ciarán's work, his short, The Great Wide Open is currently available on the RTÉ Player
