If you need a video to warm your heart on this miserable dreary 'summer' morning, this is it.

Footage released in recent days by the Save Elephant Foundation in Thailand has gone viral after it showed a herd of elephants rushing to greet a new arrival to the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, a sanctuary for elephants who had been formerly held captive and forced to work.

Like a group of giddy kids, they rush to say hello to the chisler, whose name is Dok Geaw, and whose mother died when he was just four months old. The park is hoping that an older elephant - the 'grandmother' of the herd, who they believe is over 100 years old - will take on the role of his mother.

He announces his arrival with a little trumpet, and they run to say hello and shake trunks.
